Stepping into Nature | Relaxation Techniques Mindfulness Techniques | Recover from Burnout

Whilst in a natural setting, I can help you work through and learn a number of mindfulness and relaxation techniques. These can include meditation, and they can be used in everyday life to help bring you back into the moment. I believe that a lot of anxiety can be countered by mindfulness techniques, which bring your focus back to the present moment, and not the "what if's" and "what then's".

 

These techniques though, are not limited to being taught in nature, and if the nature setting is not for you, they can be taught just as well in my therpay room.

As you may have picked up from the theme and pictures on this site, that I am a big fan of Mother Nature. I believe that it has healing qualities and that stepping into nature is often helpful in "bringing ourselves back towards ourselves". We don't often get time to escape the great concrete jungle and enjoy the beauty that is Cape Town. I have found, from my own life, that when I am feeling burnt out, indoors is the last place I want to be. So I have found that conducting the therapy session in a peaceful, naturistic setting, can be a catalyst to the healing process. 

 

I will utilize places such as the Newlands Forest, the various beaches in and around Cape Town, and the Tokai Forest. This setting is great for children too, as the therapy room can often be overwhelming for them and hinder the free flowing communication needed.
